Game Nudity!

Pornography is probably the one topic we are most harsh on. If you stream porn on your channel, unless it is insanely brief and accidental, we tend to ban first and ask the questions later to remove the content off our site. Needless to say, we are not interested in any way of having porn shown on twitch.tv

That being said, not all nudity is pornography. Specifically I am talking about nudity within video games. If you are streaming a video game that is not a porn based game, as in, the fact that it has nudity is not one of it's main featured attractions, you will not be asked to stop, and you will not be punished.

We allow nudity in games for non-porn games. We only ask that you mark your channel as mature in your channel settings. But will still ask you to not stream games based around pornography. Keep in mind that any user-made modification to a game to include nudity is not acceptable.

If you ever have a question of wether or not you can stream a certain game, please ask first! It is better to be safe then sorry, as we cannot allow pornographic content on the site.

What do we allow?

The following is a list of a few games that contain nudity, that we have approved as okay for streaming. Keep in mind, that a vast majority of games rated M by the ESRB are okay to stream! So if the ESRB sees the nudity as calm enough with it's recent ratings to get an M rating, and not Ao, it should be fine to stream. Also note that not all Ao games are marked as such due to pornography, so once again, ask first.

• Grand Theft Auto (Not hot coffee mod)
• Dante's Inferno
• Castlevania: Lords of Shaow
• The Witcher (series)
• La Noire
• Duke Nukem Forever

This list is not final, just a few games that have come up in the past. Feel free to ask about other games in this thread, or others within policy and I can add them for you.

What about Second Life? Would it ever be available for casting? Or would it be considered a porn game? I might cast it but I wouldn't be going anywhere or doing anything where there's porn besides the occasional game nudity in clubs. Anyways, let me know.

For second life I am going to say no. Second Life is not itself a porn game, but a vast majority of the games user created items are porn related, to an unavoidable degree. The game does indeed have areas intended for teenagers, or general non-adult related content, but these areas are the prime target for trolls and others alike to just post the worst of their porn related collections! There isn't really a safe spot you could stream in that game without the risk of accidentally showing something we would not approve of.

Because of all of this, I think the safest bet is to not allow this game in general, just to keep people out of trouble.

Interesting, so do you allow anime girl who are covered in a Bikini. Or do you simply act out of term and over step your authority Horror and Ban innocent broadcasters for no reason at all.

After being less emotional about it, ultimately Horror did his job. I wish the new changes where made public before things went down the way they did but it is what it is.

I was on a channel the other day without a mature content warning and there's a picture of a woman in only a bra and some pants with someone fondling her breasts, surely that's not allowed?

Hi, I am wanting to cast the game "Ar Tonelico Qoga:  Knell of Ar Ciel" for the Sony Playstation 3 console.  The game has an ESRB rating of M for Mature.  Earlier in this thread it was said that it was ok if it was M and not AO.  However I want to be sure before I begin casting the game.  The game overall does not seem bad to me, although I've never played it so I do not know.  It has come to my attention that their is a lot of skimpy clothing in the game worn by the game characters.  This is the rumor that I am concerned about.  Any advice would be helpful.  I've already casted the first two Ar Tonelico games that were rated T for Teen and I am sure my fans would like to see the conclusion of the trilogy.  I'm sure their is no full nudity but maybe the game can get suggestive.  Can I get away with casting this.  I hope so, because it would be a shame not to be able to cast the end of the series.  Let me know.

Amnesia would be a different story, as the nudity portrayed in the game isn't sexually suggestive, nor could it be classified as pornographic.

is it possible to set up a separate account for these kinds of games? like on "lunaras13" i play WoW, LoL, skyrim and pokemon, on "Lunaras18" i play those M games

If your background contains nudity and you leave it there, that's breaking terms. A quick accidental glance probably won't do any harm

I have a question and I hope one of the admins can answer it for me. Do you allow broadcasters to stream Japanese hentai games? An example would be Bible Black. If I wanted to stream that specific game, would it be allowed as long as I had my channel set to mature? Japanese hentai games tend to be Ao rated so I'm asking first before I even try to stream it. I'd rather be safe then sorry. lol

But if any of you can answer my question on this I would really appreciate it. If it won't be allowed even if I set my channel to mature only, I'll understand. I'm just trying to make sure on what is okay to stream and what isn't. Thank you. :3

Anything that is a PORN game, like bible black, is simply not allowed. That pretty much means all hentai games would get your channel closed.

In Saints Row the Third, there is no outright nudity (except for statues), but there is implied sexual content. Is this acceptable?

Suppose i set my channel to a Mature ESRB rating, does that mean that individuals whose age on their twitch account are 17 and under will not have access to my channel? Thank you.

Uncut was the original version taht got Ao, so no.

As for censored, if it's just the same version with censors, I'm going to sound now. It sounds like too much. The newer larry games seem much more entirely sex based, which is something we can't allow.

My friend was streaming a game and it had a nude scene in it and she got banned which means I could not use the IP anymore. I now have to use my dads internet to stream and the internet is just really terrible. I was wondering if there is any way that the ip can be unbanned
