Google Chrome blocking twitch.tv

I used to have zero problem with twitch until yesterday, then I started getting this message.

You attempted to reach www.twitch.tv, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself asa248.e.akamai.net. This may be caused by a misconfiguration on the server or by something more serious. An attacker on your network could be trying to get you to visit a fake (and potentially harmful) version ofwww.twitch.tv.
You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site.

If I click proceed anyway, I get a mess of a website with the background missing, flash disabled, and a bunch of other mess.

Twitch uses the Akamai CDN to serve the website so its not really anything to worry about. You should however submit a bug report so they are aware of it.
  • iam having the same problem. I clear my cookies and it goes away but then comes back

Missed the part about the page not loading correctly after you hit proceed. Definitely report the bug at the link I posted above.

    Hi,

Are you using http, or https? Make sure you use http for the time being, https is not currently supported. It was for a while, but isn't right now!

That is what I was told. Let me know if it works :)

  • Yeah just turned off https and it worked......Why no support for https

There were some changes to the site, https will likely come back in the future
