Cbs Partnership Dictates what we can say and type in our Casts?

I Recently went into a Partner's Stream and on their Skype Call......Normally i can swear no issue don't worry about it...as long as the Caster is cool with it.....I said a swear word and they told me that i can't say that anymore...i asked why.....they said all partners received emails about saying certain swear words on their casts.....is this Due to the CBS Partnership....Also All Chatroom swear Words all Censored....Im sorry but some casters use swear words to help entertain...i don't agree with this....Thoughts Comments on whats Up With THAT?????

Advertising partners like when casts are PG-13.

But as all of that goes, you most likely won't be banned or punished if you use course words. You will most likely be punished if you use it in the way that is considered a hate speech.

As of censoring the words in the chat, I believe it's a bug, and it will be solved soon. It can also be that the broadcaster enabled word censoring in his chat settings.

@PIPe yeah currently we have no way to disable chat censors, they all seem to be bugged to an "on" setting (which is rather aggravating considering some words like "link" and "spam" are considered bad words).

@wad421 As for the CBS partnership stuff, @horror would be more apt to answer that.

No rules have changed, wad. If you have mature on, feel free to curse. We only ask that people don't overdo it.

The reason some people think that us partnering with CBS means they cant curse anymore is because we sent an email asking to tone it down. It was a general email, mostly targetted to extreme abusers. I know how you curse personally, and it's fine. There are much worse people out there that needed a fair warning.. if you are just a person who curses in normal conversation, or gets mad when gaming like a normal person, just make sure mature is turned on.

As I said at the start, no rules have changed.

Oh, as for the censors in chat. The old chat one is a bug since it cant be turned off, and the one on chat beta is us building the new chat filter. There is still no option to turn it off but we are working on it. At the very least it doesn't have stupid words like "link" and "spam" banned anymore. Only actual offensive, and curse words :P

Once you can switch it off life will be normal.

  • Sweet Horror...Thank-you for Clearing that up for me.... Appreciate it Much!!
  • As long as the notice was sent to stop people from saying racist and anti-gay stuff, I'm fine. Hopefully that's all it is. I can think of a few casters who need to lay off a certain n-word...

I'd just like to point out that the chat filter option is fixed now, @wad421 , @enigmatickaostv
@jsauce @xternx and everyone else, rejoice.

You can now (easily) turn off the chat filter :)
