I'm getting a black screen when viewing a stream with a fixed resolution, but its fine if the person running the stream has the option to change resolution, is every stream supposed to have the option for iPhone high or low in the top right hand corner?
Is there a option to roll back, it was working great till I updated to the newest update.
This is for the latest iPhone twitchtv app, using iOS 6 and used 5.1.1
Yes, same here. I was excited to see the new update, but it still gives me black screens and lock ups quite frequently, despite trying different resolutions. I used the wrench report button, but you don't get any feedback as to how to avoid the issue.
It's a good feature, I hope it can be improved/fixed.
Hello Fire and thank for the response. Yes, that will sometimes help bring back the stream, but the issue is that sometimes when you select a stream, it will not load at all, all you get is a black screen, so there is not an opportunity to change the resolution. Sometimes closing out the app will help, other times it will not.
Thank you I reported it. I also have used the report function on the iphone app when it occurs, not sure if that goes to the same place, but I have reported it on the app many, many times.
Ok, thank you very much. I have been reporting this when it occurs for a couple months now it seems, I am hopeful they can find a fix in the next release. It really is a shame, as I really enjoy using it.
I think I found a weird work around. Find a partnered stream and change the resolution to 240p. Back out and go to the stream you want to watch. If that doesn't work, try going to a lower resolution. That's how it worked for me.

I can only view people who are a twitchtv partner.
Now how do I view non partners?
