Problem Chatting

Hi, when i try to view any videos the chat box shows that its loading but doesnt let me chat, I don't think im banned could someone help me to see if i'm banned, or if not what's the problem?

    What do you mean it doesn't let you chat? Could you be a little more descriptive?

    I'm also having this problem. When i'm not signed in I can see chat in streams that I go to. But the moment I sign in, I can no longer see chat or participate in chat. It just has a loading symbol in the chat box. Nothing else. I'm using IE

    @aninjapooperscooped you can't use IE8 with the chat, you need to update to a more modern browser like Chrome or Firefox, but even IE9 works.

    I'm using IE9 but chat isn't working for me.  I tried the debug step "bgeorge" suggested in one of his comments but when I tried that it just kept saying it was trying to reconnect without me even getting a chance to type anything in to check if I'm banned or not

    @pyrotic234 what ISP are you using? Have you always had this problem? It sounds like a firewall is blocking your connection somewhere in your route.

    I am using a college university's connection and no, I haven't always had this problem.  It just started happening to me yesterday but I could talk to people every day before then, which really isn't a long time.  I have been on here only about 4 or 5 days.... the join date is wrong though.  I didn't just join yesterday.  I joined even before the release of Borderlands 2

     

    Edit: Nevermind, damn chat isn't working at all now..... Though I found something else.  Even if I'm logged in, my name doesn't appear in the chat menu as well

    i can type people can see it but i cant see it ? why cant i see my writing when other people can in chat ? :( help
