Permanent global ban?

Alright, here's the problem I've been having for the past few weeks. Some channels, I am able to talk and my message gets through fine, but in those same channels on other days as well as many other channels (channels I haven't even been in before) I send a message and the chat stops after my message, but no one receives the message. I have heard about the global ban lasting 8-24 hours, but this has been going on for so long, it is starting to affect the way I use twitch. It gets so frustrating at times that I just close the stream at once because not being able to chat or be heard is harsh. I don't know of any solutions to this, as I have tried logging into another account (reason I made those other ones is that I keep forgetting the password and whatnot), changing browsers from chrome(Iron version) to Firefox to Opera, and all was to no avail. If any admins are around to help me with this issue, I would greatly appreciate it, as I do not feel that this issue is repairable from my end.

Thanks.

I had a similar issue yesterday when I switched my ISP.
To me it only happened in some channels because it would only disconnect me on one of the chat servers, not the others. (web chat sends you to a random chat server)

I fixed it by using my own router instead of the crappy one my ISP gave me. Not sure what the underlying issue here is though.

The chat uses ports 80, 443, and 843 for connecting/socket policy, so you might want to make sure those aren't being blocked. Some cheap routers have some of those ports blocked by default.
  • @Fire - is there a way I can fix this through portforwarding? And what IP addresses would I need to allow through those ports?

    Thanks again.

@benamerr you could try forwarding port 843
