How do I become a player?

I want to play against others in the competitive style of gaming but yet I don't know how to start or where to start for that matter? I'd love to play for the love of many games and wish to play against the best.

I'm not quite sure what to suggest here but you seem to be asking in the wrong place. If you want to play competitively you'll need to enquire with others and go through other forums and communities.

I've never been in any competitive team so I honestly don't know where to suggest going.
