Timestamps on consecutive messages

I find when a channel is slow it's common for one person to send a number of messages before anyone else pitches in and since timestamps only appear on the first message and not consecutive messages it can become difficult to keep track of when messages are being sent. It would be really helpful to at least have the option for all messages to record a timestamp.
