A bot that tells you when someone joins/leaves your channel.

Hello, i was wondering if anyone knew of a bot that states in chat who leaves/joins your channel? :)

I'm not aware of any publicly available bot that does this, however you can write your own mIRC (mIRC is an IRC client that allows built in scripting) script (much simpler than using Java, Perl etc);

This snippet simply welcomes the person who joins the channel. Pretty much almost the same with leaving as well, just a Google search away.

I must advise you though, scripts like this are very spam like and are prone to getting globally banned from the spam - it also gets extremely annoying hence why many bots don't support it.

So thats how people do it.. I see your point with the spam. I think i may leave this then since i could maybe see people get irriated with it constantly welcoming people.
