XSplit streaming white Twitch doesn't.

Hi.

I know it has been said many many times, but I've checked very many of them, and I can't find a solution to it.

The thing is, when i start broadcasting on XSplit, it says it's broadcasting, goes with frames encoded etc. BTW, I'm using trial version of it. On twitch it's like I have ±5 seconds of black screen saing "Live" and then it prints Offline, and it's for all the time.

I think I have everything set up properly, lowercase letters in login, server selected to Frankfurt (I'm Polish so it's closest, but I've tried also with Amsterdam and both UK servers), tried with password, stream code and both, and anything helps. Also, I've tried to do it with RTMP, but I don't know if I set this up good.

Help please :<

What is your internet speeds and Xsplit settings? You are probably dropping the connection to Twitch servers so post the info so we can see if your settings are correct.

Moved, this is not a tutorial.
  • I have 50Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

In channel settings, as I said, I have lowercase nickname and stream key. Channel is set to mrhuds0n, and location to Frankfurt.

In video encoding it's XSplit Default Preset, Quality on 6, 1000kbps max bitrate, 640x360p resolution and default resize method.

Audio is 64kbps bitrate and 44.1 MHz mono format with AAC LC codec.

Those above are on twitch/justin.tv. When i set up RTMP it's like this:
    Name: mrhuds0n
    Description: nothing here.
    RTMP url: rtmp://live-fra.justin.tv/app
    Stream name: stream key here.
    Share link: nothing here.
    User agent: XSplit/?

Video is the same, audio is:
    Format: 16 MHz mono
    Bitrate: 42.2kbps
    Codec: AAC LC

I've also tried testing bandwidth. On both twitch/justin.tv and RTMP logs are the same:

    Initializing connection to server...
Trying to stream maximum data rate of 1064 kbps...
    Initializing transmission to server... (100%)

Then it of course prints Aborted if I exit testing bandwidth.

Do you let it finish the bandwidth test, or does it never get passed initialization ( it does actual testing after that )
  • It doesn't pass, just stays forever on initialization.
