Issue creating highlights

I'm a  LoL player trying to isolate individual games from long streams using the highlight feature, but when I go into the highlight interface the recording is split into part 1 and part 2. The trouble here being that the game is split in half by this division and there doesn't seem to be a way to start the highlight on one part and finish it on another. Anything I'm missing here or anyone have any suggestions?

You cannot highlight across parts, its a limitation of the system. The best solution would to to use the cut button and click it at the start of the match. This will force the archives to make a new part and you will have 2 hours until the next split.
