Stream preview thumbnail not showing on the directory

Hello,

I had this kinda annoying bug on my channel since the very first day. When you browse the game directory from the game I'm currently streaming, my channel preview will be shown as a default image such as:

I reported it through the help support on Twitch site but the only answer I got so far was "Are you streaming use FME?" I answered such a mail and haven't got any more feedback. The answer is no, I'm using Xsplit Broadcaster.

when i try to watch streams i cant see whole thumbnails and i cant see whats goin on in streams without looking them one by one 

i dont know if you understand so please help me with this problem

@troublemaker03, You mean the streams that aren't displaying a thumbnail in your picture?

The most likely reason for those is they recently started the stream up, so no thumbnail is available. You could try refreshing, but with ignoring cache (so a new thumbnail is fetched)

In chrome, firefox and IE the shortcut for that is CTRL+F5

Hi, i been on stream for a while and yet still no thumbnail.

I was wondering why my channel looks like  
 everytime i look in the Heroes of Newerth directory. Everyone elses has their game they're playing. Just wondering what i can do to make it look like everyones elses

@kreamzz, The thumbnail updates at a set interval, you just have to wait for it up update after you're in the game

then shouldnt the thumbnail be a picture of my hon client queuing for a game?

@kreamzz, It should show whatever was on your screen at that moment in time the shot was taken. 

The fact that your thumbnail was fine when you just went live but after a short period of time went back to the grey question mark screen leads me to believe its a bug and which Dylan (staff) confirmed. Will update when I know more.

@smilehlol, There could be many reasons, but probably some incompatibility with the stream settings. Don't worry, it's not on your end. 

This has been ticketed and twitch staff is looking into it.

Got some new info if that helps. It was working now for a couple of minutes and all the sudden the preview stop showing.

i have this issue too and i streaming everyday paying for xsplit and games but no ones seeing them because i dont show up

When I first start up my stream I have a thumbnail on the directory. After 20 to 30 minutes or so, the thumbnail disappears and becomes the default gray and white question mark. Other discussions of this have said to give it time, and it will create a new thumbnail. This has not worked for me because I have streamed for 4 hours or more and the thumbnail stays at the grey default. Any ideas on how to fix this? I feel this keeps people from clicking on my channel in the directory. Thanks!

@fhrosty, This issue seems to be effecting many users. Staff is looking into it, no answers just yet.

Hello - it's been 10 days since the last post and I am having this issue as well. Right now, when I stream, the thumbnail is not generated.

Looks like reinstalling xsplit fixes this, let us know your experience.

I tried re-installing and it did not fix the problem.

Also tried re-installing, no luck either. I get a thumbnail when I restart the stream but after it updates again, I get the default image.

Please try reinstalling xsplit, I know for a fact it fixed at least one persons issue.

i reinstalled xsplit 2 times and try Interleaving the audio and the video into one stream.. test different codecs, nothing help me

Problem exists everytime i stream... the first 20mins is the same thumbnail from the picture what i see if i start the stream, 20 min no update, then grey thumbnail and this since 3 month...

Pls fix it!

Already use that setting, I've messed around with settings for days and nothing worked. The only other option I haven't tried is streaming at 1920x1080 (but my connection can't handle that) maybe it's the resolution I don't know as I can't test it.
