  • So I'm going to asume you use xSplit for streaming.. So when you want to stream Xbox or PS3 gameplay to Twitch, I know 2 ways of doing it.

xSplit gives you the option to add a screen region to the program for streaming.

PC: Screen regions are mostly used for PC but also people use a program called Dxtory which captures your game and xSplit picks it up as a camera

PS3: I only know one way to stream PS3 and that is via a Capture Card. For example I use a Happauge HDPVR and though that I use Total Media Extreme to show my gameplay on my computer and use xSplit to pick it up as a screen region.

Xbox: I use a Black Magic Intensity Pro in my PC to stream Xbox. xSplit again picks it up as a camera and allows an easy way to streaming. The same way as PS3 if your not using a BMIP.

So yeah thats more or less the easiest way to stream. I don't recommend you using a camera because it wouldn't be in good quality and I doubt people would come to a stream with bad quality. Hope this helps.

@69thalpine usually people purchase a capture card to capture their streaming from consoles, but for PC you can simply capture the game via screen region or via gamesource (if you own a license for XSplit)
