Proper setup for a bot

I have been trying to find a rules page or something on using bots on Twitch.tv chat.  I would love to add a trivia bot to my page to keep people interested in the chat and give them something to do while watching.  My main concern is that I would set this up and get banned for excessive chatting or something by the bot.  Does anyone or Twitch have a guide or something that I could follow so my channel won't get banned?  All I know is that you can't give a bot admin rights...

If your bot is only on your own channel you shouldn't have too much of an issue with bans. Just rate limit your responses so you don't flood.

There's also nothing wrong with giving your bot moderator privs.
